Vivian
“Is Dad home”? I shouted to Olivia. “Yip” was Olivia`s reply. Mum, Olivia and I darted out the door as fast as we could. Dad carefully opened the ringing wet horse float door, and there she was, Vivian, our new dark brown horse.
On a Tuesday night Dad came back home with our new horse. Mum said “I cant ride a horse if it bucks me off”, because our 5 year old pony (Nifty) bucked my Mum off her back, and hurt Mum`s nose because Nifty`s neck collided in to the bone in Mum`s nose. That’s the reason why we got our beautiful Vivian. When Viv was out of the cranky float, Dad asked “do you want first ride” and I said “really, ok”. I went for a little walk on Viv`s back and then Olivia did. Olivia, Joseph, Dad and I were very surprised because Mum didn’t want to have a walk on Vivian`s back. But somehow Dad got her to. After that Olivia and I had to put the lambs away because we had to put Vivian in the lamb paddock. Mum and I were thrilled to here that Dash and Viv were from the same place (Whanga) because when Dash came to our house he used to bite Nifty`s neck but he doesn’t bite Viv`s neck because they were best friends and they knew each other where we got them from. When Mum gets better at riding horses she said that she will get another pony about 10 feet or hands tall so Olivia and I will be able to have that lovely one and ride it when we want. I really adore having horses at our house to ride and I will always love having heaps of horses involved with me.
